Pre & Pos Douro River programs

PRE-TOUR DOURO RIVER DAY 1 - Arrival to Lisbon Airport. Visit to Belem area including Jerónimos Monastery. Lunch at local restaurant. Departure transfer to down city and walking tour through Rossio, Baixa, Chiado, Bairro Alto. Next, return to Rossio and departure transfer to the old district to visit Alfama with its typical narrow alleys and Lisbon’s Old Cathedral. Tour ending in our hotel for check-in. DAY 2 - Departure towards Sintra. Explore this romantic village. Visit to National Palace of Sintra, situated right in hearth of the village and considered one of the best-preserved medieval royal palaces in Portugal. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon departure to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe. On the way to Lisbon stop in Cascais and Estoril. DAY 3 - Transfer from Lisbon to Porto. Porto sightseeing before boarding the ship. End of our services.

POS-TOUR DOURO RIVER DAY 1 - Disembark and meet with our local guide. Departure transfer by bus to Coimbra. Visit to this lovely city which is the most important in the centre of Portugal from the cultural point of view. It was the capital of the Kingdom in the early days of the Monarchy - 12th Century. Visit to the old Cathedral and the University with its remarkable Library. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Departure to our hotel in Lisbon. DAY 2 – Full Day Lisbon. Departure transfer to down city. Walking tour passing by Rossio, Baixa, Chiado, Bairro Alto. Next, return to Rossio and departure transfer to the old district to visit Alfama with its typical narrow alleys and Lisbon’s Old Cathedral. Lunch at a local restaurant. Visit to Belém including the visit of the interior of Jeronimo’s Monastery. Dinner at a Fado Restaurant. DAY 3 – Full Day Lisbon. Departure to the Tiles Museum and afterwards free time to shop in the Nation’s Park area.  Departure transfer to the Lisbon airport for flight check-in. End of our services.
