DAY 1 –
ARRIVAL & PORTO
Arrival to
Porto airport. Welcome by our local guide and transfer to our hotel in Porto.
Check-in. At a previous established time, departure for a sightseeing of the
city, passing by the downtown, the Porto city hall, Clérigos Tower and the
River side, so called Ribeira, classified of World Heritage by UNESCO. Visit to
the Stock-Exchange Palace with its breath-taking Arabic room.
Continuation
towards Gaia for a visit to the famous wine cellars, just across the river in
Gaia, where one can hear about production, storage and taste the Port wine in
its varieties.
Welcome
dinner at the Wine Cellar Restaurant.
DAY 2 –
MINHO REGION
Departure
towards Braga for a sightseeing of the city. Continue towards the Bom
Jesus do Monte sanctuary, known as Bom Jesus de Braga. Overlooking the city of
Braga in the north of Braga, this cultural landscape evokes Christian
Jerusalem, recreating a sacred mount crowned with a church. Afterwards visit to
a local vineyard and lunch. In the afternoon, departure to Monção, close
to the Spanish border, to visit and have a wine tasting at the majestic
Brejoeira Palace with its gardens and vineyards. Departure to Guimarães
and check-in procedures at the our hotel.
DAY 3 –
DOURO REGION
Sightseeing
visit of Guimaraes and then departure towards the UNESCO World Heritage Douro
Valley. Visit to Pinhão, wine tasting and lunch at a Douro
vineyards. After lunch embark on a Rabelo boat to enjoy a 2 hours river tour in
the heart of Douro region. During this lovely Pinhão – Tua – Pinhão
tour, guests will enjoy all the beauty that Douro valley can offer. Departure
to the city of Peso da Régua, the main harbour in the valley for the
typical Rabelo boats, while taking the wine barrels to Oporto. Visit to a Farm
estate just across the river Douro. Time for dinner in the estate and enjoy a
homemade meal.
DAY 4 –
DÃO REGION
Departure
for a sightseeing of the city of Viseu. Visit to a vineyards in the
region, wine tasting and lunch. Continuation to Porto and hotel check-in
procedures. Free time in Porto.
DAY 5 –
DEPARTURE
Hotel
check-out and private air-conditioned bus departure transfer to Porto Airport.
Flight check-in.
