DAY 1 –
ARRIVAL TO PORTO
Arrival to
Porto airport. Welcome and arrival transfer to our hotel. Hotel check-in and
overnight.
DAY 2 –
PORTO PRECIOUS NECTAR
Sightseeing
tour of Porto, passing by the Downtown, the Porto City Hall, Clérigos Tower and
the River side, called Ribeira. Time for a 50 minutes Cruise in the river
Douro. Stop in Gaia for a visit to the Port wine cellars and wine tasting.
Return to our hotel.
DAY 3 –
MINHO & DOURO
Departure
to Guimarães and walking tour through its streets, Castle and visit to
the Ducal Palace. Continuation to Penafiel for a visit to Quinta da
Avelada, Estate and main house. Exit to the Douro Valley passing by the Lamego
town.
DAY 4 –
CENTRE & ALENTEJO
Departure
towards Viseu, with a stop at Roseira wine cellars for visit and wine
taste experience. Still time to explore Murganheira wine cellars. Then proceed
back to Viseu. Stop in the city of Guarda. Departure to Covilhã,
passing by the village of Belmonte. Free time for lunch in a local
restaurant. After lunch, departure to Portalegre region for sightseeing
of city centre and the castle walls. Continue to Évora city, arrival at
check-in at our hotel.
DAY 5 –
ALENTEJO WARM WINES
Walking
visit of the centre of Évora, starting by the Cathedral. Then visit to
the St. Francis Church, including the Bones Chapel. Continue to Herdade do
Esporão and visit followed by a wine tasting. Free time for lunch in a local
restaurant with the home made dishes from Alentejo. Departure to Lisbon
stopping at Azeitão, in the Arrábida mountain for a visit to the José
Maria da Fonseca Estate. Proceed to Lisbon passing by the 25 April Bridge
overlooking the Tagus river. Arrival at our hotel in Lisbon and check-in.
DAY 7 –
LISBON COAST
Departure
to Sintra, classified as World Heritage by UNESCO, is considered to have
the perfect symbiosis between nature and its built heritage. Visit to the
National Palace and free time in the city centre. Proceed to Colares
village for a visit to the Adega de Colares wine cellars. Return to Lisbon
passing by Cascais. Check-in at our hotel in Lisbon.
DAY 8 –
DEPARTURE
At a
previously settled time, departure transfer to Lisbon airport. Flight check-in.
